I do miss the state of Georgia, for it’s good food, excellent people, and high sense of patriotism. I’m never more proud of a place that I have lived then when they choose to make a statement with their presence and their hearts as they have in this case…the case of a fallen hero returning home from the war.
This video is about 10 minutes long. It shows the people gathered alongside the route of the return trip of a soldier from the airstrip to his home…a 30-40 mile trip, per the information I received.

Patrick,
Thanks for posting this…you had no way of knowing, but I am from McDonough, GA. I was born and raised there and my father’s final resting place is there. It was heartwarming to see that level of appreciation and respect from the folks of my hometown. While I don’t live there, and very infrequently visit…it makes me proud to be from there, as well as Georgia and especially, the USA!
