Goals for 2015

Our church is looking at how God’s Word can give us guidance when planning the future through our Accomplished sermon series. Every year I take time to set some personal and professional goals for the year, and so I wanted to share them with you as an encouragement and challenge to approach this year with ambitious intentions.

Week #1 BIG IDEA: What would the future you tell you to do?

Patrick’s 2015 Goals

Stay in Shape:

  • Exercise 3x per week (and lose weight to 145 lbs)
  • 7+ Day Detox starting in January
  • Eat Healthier: 2 pieces of fruit/day and regulate sugar intake: DrP., Ice Cream, candy
  • 2 10k’s and 1 Bike Race

 

Lead the Home in Spiritual Growth:

  • Regular Nightly Prayer with Eli & Stacy
  • Regular Bible Study and Journaling
  • LOTS of reading for growth and ministry skills
  • Special Worship Opportunity for Stacy and me
  • Consistent Accountability with Adam and Andy
  • Baby #2

 

Travel:

  • To the Beach with Friends
  • Seattle to see Derrick and Sara

 

Church/Service:

  • Mentor 5 guys in ministry skills,
  • Raise up team leaders for the host team
  • Regular Witnessing/Community Canvassing Trips
  • Church Tech Blog
  • Complete my First Draft of Book
  • Preaching 2-3x this year

 

Finances:

  • Sell Home in Atlanta
  • Adopt Missionary Family to Support – Strive for Better Communication (Skype)

 

Personal Growth:

  • Study Isaiah in depth
  • Create a fellowship of Clarksville’s small groups pastors
  • Find an outside pastor to mentor me
  • Solitude: Periodic Days of Reflection, Personal Hiking Trip

 

Books:

  • Fun: Riding the Blue Moth, Hunger Games
  • Spiritual Leadership: Small Groups, Prayer, Multiply

Misc

  • Hearing aid savings for Stacy
  • Save for a new vehicle
  • Save 10% of both incomes toward retirement
